Turkey Day!

Woops- somehow I completely forgot to blog about our AMAZING thanksgiving.

Despite the fact that we are about 800 miles away from our family on Thanksgiving for the very first time. We had each other, and a bunch of food. Turkey, corn, ham, stuffing, gravy, mac-n-cheese, green beans, sweet potato casserole, rolls, and cranberry sauce. The kids ate a TON, as did John and I. It was amazing eating in out jammies, Jayde wore her witch hat to dinner. Which we ate before 1 pm.
Afterwards we all laid down for a nap, apparently consuming THAT much food makes you tired. We were up by 3, and we got to talk to our family, and watch the parade as we do every year. And we ended the night by visiting some new friends. Even though our family wasn't here, I cant imagine having a better Thanksgiving!
I hope everyone out there had a great one as well!

Kindness sees no age

Walking through WalMart today my daughter oddly wanted to put her jacket back on as we were shopping, which instantly was odd. Especially since she is the queen of being "hot" . But as we were walking out there was a man ringing the bell for the Salvation Army.
Jayde stops, pulls her little wallet out and grabs a hand full of change an puts it into the bucket, smiles and continues to walk with me to the car. I was in awe by her complete selflessness.
Naturally I asked her why she had her wallet (shes also the queen of losing her wallet lol) and why she gave her money to him. To my surprise she had seen someone ringing a bell at a store earlier in the week and dint have change, so when she heard I was going to the store she took her wallet in hopes of seeing the man again. So I ask her again why. Her response: "I dont need it anyways, now I can help". Amazing. I feel proud to have raised such a sweet caring little girl.

Now, I shall work on my older two boys- who stood aside the entire time doing nothing. boys.

Leaving mommy world...

For a little bit tonight, and making a first attempt and jumping on the "working mom" bandwagon. I have an interview at 5, and Im SUPER nervous. I got to thinking I only interview once before for previous jobs, so theres a little lack of experience, PLUS it has been 6+ years since Ive worked. Oh and did I mention that my aunt and cousin are coming into town this afternoon and are due in around 4-5. NICE, so Ill be at my interview then. Ekk. So Im all "dressed" up, with my hair done, make up on, heels (yep- im actually wearing some) and some pants that I accidently bought one size too small so Im trying to "break" them in so I can breathe during the interview. Now if I were about 50lbs lighter I wouldnt have a problem with these, pants choking me- however I am not so this is just another reminder that I MUST diet! ASAP.
Anywho- wish me luck ♥

Never say no

To the after Halloween candy sales! I got my favorite candy (Dots) in all three Halloween flavors! (I didnt even know they came in special Halloween flavors!!) I went to Walgreens just to grab ONLY tweezers, but the buggies at the front of the store packed full of discount candy
sucked me in. Two full carts, so I grabbed as many as I could. Oh and did I mention they were only 25 per box?! Insane! Now this might sound absolutely nuts that I get this excited about candy. But I think I have always been this way about candy, at least for as long as I can remember. Back when I was 16 and working at JcPennys at the mall I used to walk to thew candy shop on my lunch break every day and buy a pound of candy to eat. Some how I managed to stay 105 lbs no matter how many pounds I ate (I wish that were the case now) I could eat never ending amount of candy and me in pure bliss, and its pretty much the same way now except, Im NOT 105 lbs anymore, and I CANT eat that much anymore without getting sick, but I do love the candy all the same, with Dot being my poison of choice, these being extra awesome because their halloween and Ive never had them. Wow, I cant believe I went on a full on rant about CANDY!
Other than the candy we had an AWESOME Saturday, I took the kids shopping with me this morning, we came home and made sandwiches and drinks and headed out for a picnic and nature walk with John. It was beautiful as always a little hot though, but not nearly as hot as Florida. Then we went to Jaydes school park and the kids played a while, John even wiggled through some tunnels and slides (thank god he didn't get stuck~ can you image calling 911? " I need help, my husband is stuck in a kids play set" lol!) Then we came home and relaxed, because surprisingly enough that wore us out BIG TIME.
Then we went to dinner, we were heading to eat at this place called Tumbleweed, but it was majority packed, so we saw a restaurant name Raffertys across the street. It was american food, and surprisingly really nice and good food and service! So our day is coming to a close the kids are all in bed, and me and John are fighting sleep so we can see Taylor Swift on SNL, mainly to see if she spoof the whole Kanye thing.... if all else fails we shall DVR it =]

Boys.Marriage. What?!?

Jayde asked me after school "mom, when should I have a boyfriend?". ~OMG~ I'm thinking not till your like 90 lol. So being caught totally off guard I respond with not till your older, you dont want to pick the wrong boy. So then she asks "how do I pick the right one?"At this point Im completely at a loss for words and she gives up. Later she tells me that she finished drawing in her notebook and shows me THIS picture. So its seriously cute BUT, all these questions already? She's only 6. I guess I should be happy that she DOESNT have a "boyfriend" at school.

I officially suck at blogging.

I cant keep up with my blog to save my life! lol.
It seems that I post about once every 2-3 months. Its not that I dont have anything to blog about- I do. In fact typically Im too busy to blog. (Ok, well not that busy, but great excuse right?)
So since my last blog- Ive started selling my bows again. http://3loudkids.shophandmade.com so check it out and please feel free to pass it along :)
But for now I shall return to life and show (yes shower at 2:30 pm lol) and then head to pick up Jayde from school.

Ok. Its official being an adult SUCKS!

So does this whole moving thing. At one point today I looked at my husband and said "being an adult sucks, why cant we just go play xbox like the kids". This is of course as I am cutting through a billion and one zipties and I take apart my Mac.
We have 6 days until we leave for Louisville and have to have our entire house cleaned and repainted. and to be honest we have been putting it off FOREVER! We called it an early night tonight- so hopefully we can get more done tonight.... for now Im going because Im going ti have a bowl of cereal before bed. :)
