This morning I got onto my computer same as always and when I checked my email I saw an email saying that Logitech is following me... Naturally I was like AWESOME! Then I went to my tweetdeck (per my morning routine) and saw that @logitech had responded to my tweet from yesterday.

Typically this wouldn't be anything unusual, but my tweet wasn't really directed to them.. I simply stated that "I think my harmony hates me because I can never figure out how to use it". Normally if I was directing my tweet for the company I would @logitech or #harmony, but I didn't because I was more joking by that tweet- to show my frustration.

So you can imagine when I received this tweet from @logitech "@Supanerdstef Sorry to hear. If you DM us the email your Harmony account is registered under we can have the support team contact you."

Wow- now THAT is customer service!

This is just proof that social media - Twitter especially is amazing. It allows you to reach out and talk to pretty much anyone who has an account. Say you have great service somewhere and want to tell anyone you just @ the company and shockingly they will normally contact you back! I've tweet about great haircuts, or great service, and Ive even tweeted about bad service too... and still get responses from the company. Its instant gratification. It feels good to know that the company is listening.

Moral of the story... If you don't have a twitter, open one... now.... then add me... because I'm awesome! @supanerdstef

(Oh, and I guess that Logitech is pretty awesome for reaching out like that!)

This morning.. 11am ish I woke up snuggled next to this beautiful lady! John had left early to get the car worked on, and somehow between 2am and 11 am she ended up snuggled next to me, with her stuffed monkey.

It made me sad to think i have maybe another 2 years (if I am lucky) of sweet moments like this... my boys are 9 and 10, and to get them to snuggle on their own free will is impossible.

So this Thursday I am thankful for snuggling with my princess.. ohh and for her sleeping in till 11! YES!

Since being unemployed it seems ad if the days are flying by. So you can imagine my surprise when I saw that Spring Break starts this Friday! WOA! I'm not sure how I missed it.

So.. one day and I really need to make some sort of plan of what we can do to keep the kiddos entertained for the next 7 days. Will all five of us home.. together for the next 7 days.. I need to make some sort of plan so that we don't bite each others heads off.

Typically I would just plan a bunch of outdoor activities- however we live in Kentucky not Florida any more, it is not warm out... or even close. Some days it lingers around 30-35 degrees.

So, with that said, it will have to be indoor activities that are geared for their ages (10,9 and 7). With all that said... HELP!!

I know thee kids would be just as happy playing Facebook and xbox all day- but I want them to do other things. So if you have any cool ideas PLEASE share!!

Joining in on Blessing Reflections' Thursday meme. Thursday Two Questions.

1) Are you easily convinced or persuaded to spend more money when you are in the store than the intended budget you come in with?

First- I don't care for salesmen. They aggravate me.

Salesmen cannot talk me into buying more than I set out to buy. UNLESS its an amazing deal. I'm a huge sucker for a good deal. Typically I am able to talk myself into something more expensive without anyone elses help.

2) Do you often buy under pressure, or would you just walk away?

Like I said previously I don't care for being put under pressure. I like to know that the sales person is there if I have a question or need something. But I don't want to listen to your spill about a product. If a sales person bugs me, I will leave the store and buy the product elsewhere.

Guess I'm weird like that!

Please give me my sweet boy back- the one who didn't know what real attitude is. The one who doesn't talk back 24/7. Yes, I'm aware you're getting older, more mature, more independent, but PLEASE lose the attitude!

Chandler (the oldest loud kid) informed me a few moments before bedtime that Ethan's teacher had spoken to his teacher who told Chandler to tell us about the note-

The note that stated that Ethan was talking back in class and refused to try to work on a math problem before asking for help. At the bottom of the note it read: " we need a conference".

SHIT- why do I now feel like I'm in trouble for his bad behavior? (anytime I hear the kids have a note for me I instantly feel like I'm being sent to the principles office)

When we asked Ethan what his deal was... want to guess his response?

Ethan: "I wasn't in the mood."

Me: "um, TOUGH you don't have a choice if your in the mood to learn."

Ethan: "didn't you hear me, I said I wasn't in the mood!"

*insert my shocked face here*

Me: "THATS IT YOUR GROUND FOR TWO MONTHS!"

This is where he proceeded to tell me he wasn't in the mood. Well in my book thats not acceptable.

Do all children get snotty around 9? or just him? My 10 year old never went through this!

I realized tonight when I walked in the kids room... the tiny room we have 3 beds and 3 kids crammed into.... when I saw my angels sleeping so peacefully, that reguardless whats going on in life, Im truly lucky.

Despite all the bad thats going on, cars getting repo'ed, losing our home, having no money to our names, Ill always have family.

The past 8 days have been the happiest Ive been in YEARS, and I think this may have been a blessing.

Thank you again to all our friends who have supported us and said kind words during this incredibly hard time. It means so much to us. Making us realize there are people who care.

Now on to bigger and better things. Heres to a happy life ahead!

Yes ladies and gentlemen, this is another rant.....and I'll apologize for that in advance!

I know by writing this I might be jeopardizing alot of things.. however it needs to be said!

John wasted 10 years at a job, poured his heart and soul into every second of his career. (the boxes- yes boxes of items basically cataloging his career), risking our marriage because of his passion to this job. Moving us states away from all our loved ones for this job. He was away from his family for 2 months filming a commercial for the company. He's drove HOURS {yes hours} for work each day, hes stayed late night at customers houses just to make sure they were happy. Celebrities and all.... having him be the only one they would call....... {did I mention my kids wear their geek squad shirts proudly? - they are now banned- oh and my middle sons first word was best buy}

Only later to be FIRED. because of having a chat client on there to talk with one of the "high ups" that shall remain nameless for the time being. {that is unless I keep getting progressively mad}

Now we are stuck in Kentucky, jobless. No I should correct that. I still have a job with the same company, and it makes me SICK to have to go to work today. Now not because I love the company as I once did, but because I have no choice because we have no way to support our 3 children in this city so far from home.

So thanks Best Buy. You truely lost one of your best. Thats not a way to treat your loyal people!!

Saturday's smiles

Finally some sun in Louisville, in more than one way!

The weather was beautiful out. So we headed to the park on the river. We met up with our friend and her little boy. It was tons of fun!

After the park our lovely Garmin decided to take us an hour and a half away from home. In what I'd like to call the overly scenic route. Don't get me wrong it was a beautiful ride, lots of hills and amazing homes. Homes that made me incredibly jealous!

Once the GPS finally decided to take us home, John had this last minute idea that we should get hot dogs, so we swung by Thortons (yea I know gas station hot dogs- but they really are yummy!) and that plan didnt work out so we went to Mcdonalds and hot a double cheese and some coffee and came home and relaxed at last.

Despite out little detour this is the first day in a very long time (since we moved to Louisville) that I've actually felt happy... I can only hope there is more days like this ahead.

So I have been reading Jill at Scary Mommy for really long time. Not only is she an incredible writer but she has an incredibly honest/funny take on parenthood. She has been LOL'ing non stop. She's my inspiration for my blog- now if I could be HALF as witty as her!

But she recently added a confessional page(s) and I'm addicted.. and so is John lol... its the first thing I check in the morning and the last before bed. But before you click that link, be warned its incredibly addictive.

I love you. I really do. More than any other food. I could eat you day and night for the remainder of my life. I love you in every form, with meat sauce, without meat, with clam sauce with meat balls. You complete me. I drive my poor husband ma by making you atleast once a week. How can I resist your shoestring like noodles, and ever staining sauce?

With that said- I have a bone to pick with you. You have made me fat. You have stained many of my children's shirts. I eat mountains of you whenever your around... of course ending in me being super sick. I also love left overs, however Spaghetti whenever I make you I never get to have you as left overs because everyone eats MASSIVE helpings. So please... stop being so yummy!

Ok.. I've done my time in Kentucky. I'm ready to move. Or go back in time to about 2 years ago. When we were happy, we had a beautiful home, family who loved us, all of our pets, a decent support system. Our children had their own room, we had space to hide from the kids if need be. We were some what financially set. Oh and the kids had a good school in our neighborhood that we loved. Id venture to say we were very happy.

Now... We have a box we live in... ok well not a box but an itsy bitsy 2 bedroom apartment, that we are constantly tripping over each other (did I mention that we pay almost the price of our mortgage on our old house in florida?). We don't have any family here, no real friends, all the people we thought were friends werent. The kids are now bused 3 hours a day to a school in the ghetto. The kids are crammed (literally) in one room. Stuff is exploding from everywhere. Were nipping at each other non-stop. It sucks for lack of better words.

Now that not to mention all the emotional crap I have to deal with because of still being here! I'm miserable. I have a love/hate relationship with my job. I have a handful of "friends" and thats dwindling fast, because Im finding out that they aren't my friends and are only in it for one thing. Not to mention I hate the person I have become because of this place and its people! I'm tired of faking it- smiling when I walk into places and pretending that I'm happy where I am. Im not.

I was always that person that said "I never regret any of my choices" - I'm no longer that girl. I regret moving here. I wish there were just one small event that made me feel this way... but there's too much... I'm ready to run away! Maybe I'll win the lottery and make my escape .. Guess I should start playing now.

So this is month one of trying to conceive and Im just under a week away from me period. It's killing me, I like to be in charge of everything and not being able to just take a test and know is driving me mad.

I realize most people dont get pregnant the first time around. Most with much trying and some not even being able to conceive. Which might be my case. Im super happy with the 3 beautiful children I have however I just keep thinking how wonderful a baby would be....

So I have to wait about a week until Ill know for sure if I am pregnant or not.....

First I'll say that I'm sorry for all these "proud mom" posts lately. However it seems that me and John have some how managed to create this wonderful dinner time tradition. Naturally I would love to share it with my readers and find out what you guys do for dinner.

As a child of a basically single mother we never really sat down for dinner together, I always ate in my room. Or if we did happen to eat together we would park it in front of the TV and eat. Hardly bonding time. Of course I googled it because I really was interested how many families sit together for dinner. Only 47% percent of families sit down together for dinner. Sad.

So I made sure that we all sat down as a family. However some how, we got in this awesome rhythm of asking "what was the best part of your day" and "what was your worse part of your day". It's a great way to build communication. Instead of just sitting mindlessly at the table or listening to the kids whine about what foods they don't like. Lately we have even added addition questions, like favorite movie, what they learned today. Its great!

I noticed when the kids had a friend over and we didn't have enough chairs for us all to sit at the table. So I let the kids sit at the table and me and John ate on the couch. John pointed out that Ethan was asking our guest what his favorite part of his day was, and the poor kid looked sorta surprised. But I'm proud our kids are trying to pass on our traditions.

PLUS- we don't have to listen to them fuss about food... well not at least not as often.

1. Where did you grow up? Where do you consider home?

I grew up in Jacksonville Florida and spent 25 years there. It will always be where I call home even if I am hundreds or thousands of miles away. One day well go home again.

2. If you could paint your car any color with no loss in value, what color would it be?

Actually I'm kind of over the whole panting your car a crazy color. Plus how cool would I look if I had like a neon pink mini van. Maybe I could add some sweet spinners too, Oh! and some purple flames. Yes that would be awesome.

3. What do you think comes after death?

Well I am agnostic, therefor I have absolutely no idea what comes after death. Nor do I like to think about death- not only because I don't have a higher being that I believe in, but because it is kind of depressing!

4. Name a TV show that should NOT be renewed for another season.
Sad as it sounds, I'm not a big TV person. Honestly we don't even have TV. I mean we have TV but no TV service. We watch alot of movies, and I'm totally loving watching Dexter right now on Netflix- I would definantly like to see it REnewed! But not NOT renewed.

5. If you could have a free subscription to any online service, which would you like to have?

Wow, this ones a hard one. Probably Flickr. So I could upload never ending pictures.. Wouldn't ya'll just love that?

6. Where did you think you'd be at the age you are now?

Not where I am. We kinda went back in time, We used to have a beautiful 4 bedroom 2 bath home in Florida, now were crammed in a tiny apartment in KENTUCKY! We once were some what financially set- Not so much anymore. A few years ago I was ready and happy where I was... but like I said now not so much.

7. What did you want to be when you grew up?

An artist! I guess no one told me at the time that there is NO money in being an artist LOL!

8. If you were to suddenly become famous, and were forced to change names, what would you choose as your stage name?

First- I never want to be famous. No amount of money would make me want to be either. I love my privacy way too much. I would never make it.

9. What is the first book that you can remember reading by yourself as a child?

Frog & Toad. LOVED IT! As soon as my kids were old enough I bought bunches of Frog & Toad books, however they didn't care for them nearly as much as I did! lol!

Dear kids,

Thank you for acting like angels last night at the snow globe craft. While all the other rotten children ran around like wild animals you all sat down and talked nicely. Occasionally looking at the "bad kids" like they had lost their minds. When they hit each other in the heads with glass jars, or loudly screamed the same sentence over and over, or bossed their mom around you looked at me like "mom what is wrong with them!?!".

You thanked the sponsor of the event multiple times when he helped you. You appreciated just being able to go to the event, and you let everyone know, by your amazing behavior. I know often times Im very critical of you guys, mainly because I don't understand the concept of sibling rivalry just because I was an only child. But all in all you guys are amazing kids.

Thank you for NOT being like all the other kids your age. You just know better!

Dear Mindless Parents at the event,

Thank you for letting your children act like fools, so much in fact that it interrupted my family time at the event with my children multiple times. Oh and for letting your son climb in the table and let us get a laugh from him making you look like a fool when you tried to talk him out of it. Or when you had to explain to the other mom at the event that your other kids were too "cool" to participate in the event. Thank you for answering your phone loudly in the middle of the even where you explain to whomever you are trying to get a loan from that you worked at a restaurant for the past 12 years. Well high freaking five lady! You know most parents would have hit ignore and enjoyed their children. Not you.

Best yet, THANK YOU, for teaching my kids that they are amazing children and how NOT to act in public. Making them feel proud about how well behaved they are. While they are aware they arent perfect all the time, they are now well aware that they never want to act like your kids.. Oh and at the same time I think they appreciate me a little more for NOT being like you. For not ignoring them like you do your children.

Friday Question

What do you use for your alarm clock – an actual alarm clock or your phone (or maybe the sun, your kids, your pet, other)?

I am a VERY heavy sleeper- you practically have to drag me out of me, or beat me to wake me up. With that said, I use an alarm clock, a cell phone and my kids have alarms set so if I cant wake up they will wake me up. I don't know what has happened to me. When the kids were younger I would wake up at the slightest sound. Now its the exact opposite.

For example this morning my middle son woke me up, with loud yelling to get my butt out of bed. It worked- but it doesnt always.... How do you guys wake up... alarm cell phone??

Every New Year we all make these ridiculous resolutions that only very few of us stick to. If you knew for a fact, that you would stick to all your resolutions then give us your top ten!

Top Ten New Years Resolutions (if I could keep them!)

1. lose weight. Get down to my desired weight of 140 lbs.

2. open back up my etsy shop and get it rolling like before.

3. keep that never ending bin of dirty clothes empty.

4. stop buying shoes to match EVERY outfit.

5. Be more green, stop buying chemicals, live a more green life.

6. Be happier with the me that I am.

9. stop smoking.

Now if only I could do ONE of these things I would be golden. However thats why I didn't make a new years resolution, and this is just a fictional list. BUT if some how something on this list DOES happen, I deserve a massive high five LOL!

Once again Ive been proven wrong... well maybe I should start from the beginning.

Im a girl who has very few actual girl friends, Ive always been like that- I cant seem to "click" with women, for whatever reason. So I have alot of guy friends. Recently john and I have started going out alot more since we have great friends here who will actually watch the kids for us so we can get time out.. which means since Im actually being social for once. With me no longer being a stay at home mom, I decided to start inviting my guy friends out with me and John.

For the longest time I just thought John was being jealous, saying these guys are bad... saying all guys are the same.. basically that guys cant be friends with women. which, I totally fought... saying no these guys are different.. Needless to say I was WRONG.

The first guy we went out with that I thought was a friend drank one or two drinks and proceeded to tell me that my nipples could "cut glass" well, that friendship was DONE. I was wrong once again, this guy didn't want to be friends, he obviously wanted something else.

So the other night we went with a friend, he proceeded to buy us (me) drink after drink, before I even had a chance to realize I was drunk. Next thing I know John is going to the bathroom and this guy friend of mine takes my hand and walks me to the bathroom, for you know what! Can you believe the nerve of this guy? and once again I was proven wrong!

Now I do have one guy friend, that is absolutely amazing. Very supportive, funny, everything youd ask for in a friend, guy or girl. But, thats it... every other guy that I thought was a friend or a potential friend, turned out to be a douche, and only wanting one thing.

So, please people, tell me that all guys arent like this. Give me some hope.

Now dont get me wrong, Id love to have some girl friends, though women really seem to aggrivate me to the fullest. They whine, only talk about themselves, start drama, and whine more. Men, they joke, they dont care about starting drama, and they dont whine (atleast not most lol). So since I cannot seem to stomach women enough to actually make friends (my last real woman friend I had was when I was 15!!) I stick with guy friends... in some sort of hope that their not all "bad guys".

What a year 2010 was. I don't even know where to begin with all that has occurred in a short year... Ill be honest, I don't remember everything that has happened with great detail. However the lessons that I learned I remember daily. I thought I should share that wisdom with my readers and friends...

The most important lesson I learned was, the grass is not always green on the other side. In fact often times its horribly scary on the other side. Maybe its the unknown, or the knowing too much. Either way. Be happy with who you are and where you are in life.

The second most important lesson I learned is to love, and accept love. Don't push away the people who care the most.

Third, LISTEN. Sometimes the smallest most simple conversations can mean the world to the person saying it. It can often make or break relationships.

The fourth and most important lesson is trust no one.

Im not going to make resolutions, as I have too much to improve this coming year. I just want to be happier and make the ones closest to me happier. Be happy with what I have.

Ive been a crappy blogger... tell me something I dont know.

But that of course will change. So heres my update!

Me and John are happily back together and working things out... and I have to say its going amazing. We work much better together now. The kids are happy, were happy. Its a great thing.

Some times it just takes a little crazy to make you realize what you always had... and let me tell you the grass is NOT always greener on the other side!

We have decided that were going to try and conceive... one more little person I think would complete us. So wish us luck. I found out that I have PCOS (basically a hormone inbalance that causes cysts on the ovaries) so the chances are only like 40% of me getting pregnant... but its worth a try.

any advice would be amazing!!!

Feeling loved. With all going on, life is crazy stressful.... when even just the smallest actions mean the absolutely the world to me. When everything else is collapsing around me, its nice to know some one is there.

In the same sense.... while my heart is beginning to allow me some happiness, by doing this divorce I have managed to hurt everyone I love including my kids. Watching a child trying to cope with mom and dad divorcing is excruciating to watch, it breaks my heart. Watching my family hurt, is hard.

The hardest part is having the ones I love basically telling me to "stay in it for the kids" when I know my heart is not in the marriage anymore. I feel like I am letting everyone down. I feel selfish for doing this, but in the same sense I cannot control my heart and where it is now, and for that matter where it isnt.

Ive done so much soul searching at this point, I want it all behind me, but unfortunately this is not a fast one step process.

My one piece of wisdom is- Its the small things in life that really make the difference. The things that are trivial that really can change things.

And... that sucks!

Bottom line, I have atleast 10 specialist that I have to see between now and January- Not counting my regular doctors. I'd rather no go too deep into that- but I would like for everyone to keep my in their thoughts as the next few months will be rough enough.

With me and the kids moving out,the holidays and just coping will be rough enough. Not to add all this along with it.

On a positive note we did have a blast on Halloween and Im sure there will be alot more fun to come. Just gotta keep my head held high.

1. What scares you the most

A) Physically

Going through that extreme vertigo/balance problem again. Bear in mind that I still fight it daily. I just hope that it never get so bad again that I cant do anymore than lay down again, that was the worse year of my life.

B) Emotionally

Going through this separation/divorce with John and moving out with the kids and how it will affect us all. Though I'm keeping it positive because I'm confident that it is the right decision for all of us involved. Happiness is key.

Why does it scare you, and how do you cope?

It scares me because both of them directly involve my quality of life as well as the kids.

2. What comes to mind when you read the phrase, "Nothing gold can stay?"

I don't find that statement to be true- I feel anything that truly is gold WILL stay. It might tarnish if you don't treat it right and maintain it, but as long as you do so, it will stay.

It my time to spread my wings and see what life has in store for me. I feel that its my turn to be happy for once. So much has changed since we moved to Louisville. Now reflecting Im incredibly glad that we moved. I have amazing friends, a job that I absolutely adore, and I feel Im on the track to being the real me. Not walking in the shadows of anyone else any more.

This is my pursuit of happiness. To be complete like Ive never been before. Its going to be a rocky road with much hurt, but in the end I feel I will be able to be true to my heart. And as the old saying goes. things happen for a reason. I am a firm believer in fate, and I believe this is was my fate, to end up here, and meet the people I have.

So lets see where this road takes me....

Ive been very neglectful to my blog readers, I typically blog much more. So Im going to do a brief update.

Right now me and John are going through a separation. (As Im sure you could guess by my last post) My emotions have been ran over and smashed. Im totally torn as to what Im doing, or maybe I should say what I have to do. In addition to trying to be a good mom and support the kids.

So besides having more than enough stress caused by the lack of relationship, Im having a few medical problems. This past week I went to the doctor because I found a lump in my breast. He's sending me to many different doctors to have tests done. As well as put my on birth control in hopes that it will respond to that. While we wait on all my blood tests to come back. He initially had some concerns about my liver- so they took a ton of blood and Im still waiting on most of the results. Though he did say that the tests that are back came back Ok.

All in all, life has handed me handful of lemons, now its just a matter of what I do with them...

As harsh as it sounds- life is incredibly too short to wait to see what if. To short to see if things will change. To see if I will feel complete. To see if my happiness is worth it all.

To promise to change is only a matter of words, a matter that I've heard much too often. how many chances is too many?

How do I determine when enough is enough? My heartbreaks for me to make someone I cared for so much, hurt. I feel selfish, wanting to be happy. I feel confused about the entire situation.

Most of all I feel free that the decision is mine to make, regardless of how painful it might end up for everyone involved.

Time will only tell...

From Krystals. Its nuts they only have White Castle here. I'd rather eat nothing than White Castle. I cannot even name how many trips we had to Krystal's for a sack full.

We used to get a whole bunch of them and sit around the tables, they had these really awesome red retro like barstools. Even though the kids were too small to sit in the tall barstools We totally let them. It was a blast! I mean what kid doesnt love awesome barstools.

John always my pickles... Jayde ate more than all of us combined... Good Times...

Now whos going to send me some Krystals? I'm craving them!!!

No, Im not just saying this for the hell of it. I mean it. Yes, family, friends and co- workers read this, and no I dont care who reads it.

After reading Scary Mommy's blog this morning, I felt prompted to write about this..... But first I wanted to say that she is a true inspiration and by no means does this guest post on her blog effect how I see her as a person.

I have so many thoughts on that post, but I will start with the fact that she was upset that her child's teacher was gay. (I have NO clue how she knows the teacher is gay or if she just assumed it).

I am a FIRM supporter of gay rights. Not only that but because she is upset by something that the teacher control anymore than the teachers race. Each of my children has a Christian teacher, and its would be as silly as me to say because I don't agree with their religion that I wouldn't want them as my child's teacher. Thats flat out idiotic! None of that factors in to how they can teach. I feel if you dont care for the teacher HOME SCHOOL your child, but please don't but your negative vibes reach your children.

To call her self a "conservative christian" is very incorrect- I would call her a "narrow-minded person" religion is no reason to HATE. Which is exactly what she is teaching. To even bring up her child's teacher's sexual orientation is irrelevant to her post about her religion and how she raises her children.

I think in all I disagree with her morals almost 100%, for multiple reason- but thats another day and another rant (that is unless I don't care for her response in which case I shall blog more)

Oh my faves are my grey boots- even though I haven't worn them once I will one day find that amazing outfit that matches them. - i don't like religion talked about around my kids - i love junk food - i think you create your family, its not all about blood - i love artsy stuff - i cant cook to save my life - i ran away from home when i was a teenager - i said i would never have kids - i didnt get my license till i was 20 - i can eat endless amounts of spaghetti - i have a deep love for my old 73 volkswagen - i had my first child at 17 - i love justin bieber - i will woop you in some tony hawk - ive lost most the people i cared about in a matter of a year - i sing way too loudly when i drive - my first house was in the projects and were talking gun fights, hostage situations, all that - i have no patience - i like making things - my house is never clean - i think president bush was a horrible waste of a president - i didnt find out who my "real" dad was till i was 13 and i could have lived without that info - i hate talking on the phone, but ill text you till my hands are raw - i didnt vote because im lazy, but obama is the man - if i watch a PETA video i wont eat meat for weeks - me and the kids celebrate earth hour every year - i love taking pictures - checking the mail completes my day - i miss Florida but not the people - i used to weigh 105 (thanks Chandler!) - im literally a shopaholic - i found my step dad almost dead and never got to say goodbye - i have a balance problem that ive been fighting for 4+ years - my hair has been dyed every color - my daughters middle name is named after our first car, take that for ghetto - my maiden last name is horrific and that im not telling - i went through a goth stage where i wore nothing but black - all of my kids are just about exactly a year apart and non were planned but Jayde - i got a tattoo that i now HATE - i think robert stephens is a genius! if you havent heard him speak google him - i also think most rich people are incredibly selfish - i love gnomes and fought john for years to get me a garden gnome - im not as nice as i typically appear - i met my husband in middle school - i dont like when people sneeze - i also hate parrots - i love reading even though i still dont know how i manage time to do so - i wear a ring that says forever, and my mom has the other half that says always, i had them made after a book she read me when i was a child - i once stole cigarettes from my mom and got busted at school with them - ive had 4 pregnancies - my favorite job ever was when i worked for hewlett packard - i dont like girl friends, i think they are too much work - i think its weird when people go by their last name only - i hate the religious billboards, and hate even more the fact that we cant have anti religion signs - for the record im agnostic not atheist, learn the difference - i will let my kids play halo, and kick your butt online - we own 23 apple computers and adding daily - i love going to antique shops -

Ive spent years trying to please and impress other people. It caused a ton of stress, a ton of arguments, and a ton of unhappiness.

Then it hit me, who the hell cares. Really. Who cares if I have socks on my floor, if my hair is jacked, if I haven't cleaned my car in months, if I have secrets, if my childhood was jacked, if I bite my nails, or that I cuss like a sailor. I dont care.

I'm opening up myself, no more holding back- Ive spent the last few months focusing on NOT caring. You wouldn't believe that Im happy... mostly. Ive sang at the top of my lungs, danced like no was there, spoke up like I didn't care and smiled because I could!

So from here on, Im not holding my breath, I'm not biting my tongue. If you don't like what you see or here, look the other way. Because I DONT care what you think...... So you've been warned... be ready.

I hate living in an apartment.

Everything is old. Everything breaks. Everything leaks!

This past week alone weve had TWO major leaks, on in my coat closet that drenched everything in it. The other one was in my entire hallway, it was so bad when you walked water splashed. Needless to say the house is in complete chaos!

Ive wanted to blog- however the craziness has caused me from getting anywhere near my much much loved blog. Im sorry guys.

So Ive gotten myself in a situation that I dont know if I can really get out of... atleast not any time soon..... DEBT. BIG TIME!

Its to the point now that I am literally siting in my apartments buisness office snagging some WiFi on my laptop. Now yes-- I do look cute hold my little apple laptop all reclined and comfy in this office chair. But I would much rather be at home having a cup of coffee right about now.

So I figure since theres not much more than busting my butt to gather more money to get us caught up... {by friday we should atleast have our internet back up and working} I might as well use this as a opportunity to get caught up on things.

Things like chores, because god knows my to do list is massive! AND most of you that know me even just a little know that I am somewhat of an internet addict. So I plan on using this time to actually spend more time with the fam.... that cannot possibly be a bad thing..

Catch up on my reading.... Im currently reading Dale Carnegie's How to win friends and Influence people. I know it doesnt sound super cool or what not- but believe it or not its actually an incredible read! I was encouraged to read it during my leadership training at work, and I was surprised that it was really even just about work stuff... its about life in general... anywho amazing read... go grab it really... now.

So back to me... I might be mia till atleast friday- but I encourage my readers to consider doing the same.,.. back off the computer a little and see what you get done- No wait... I challenge you. Spend the time that you would have spent online doing something else and see what you get done...... Lets compare notes on Saturday.

Now Im sure youve heard about all my battles with the kids schools and them being bused across town. Right in the center of the not so nice down town..

Any who I had to drive them to school the other day- and well, THIS is what I saw...

Now my question is this REALLY a dentists office? Or is Dental Center a code name for something else?

Trust me this is one of the more "normal" things that I saw on the way to school- but most of the other things I was scared to take pictures of... heavy chance that I might get shot or something.

Im old. or well older.

For some reason this year my birthday is getting to me. Im one year closer to 30. Is this when I stop counting how old I am? 27 is a good age to stay forever right?

So Im sure your wondering what I did with my birthday- well last night Ethans fever was above 104, and pretty much stayed that way, so he had to stay home from school, when I woke up I was feeling like crap so I couldnt go to work. So that pretty much killed my day..

At 1. I got a call from the school that Chandler was up in the nurses office with chest pains, so I had to run and pick him up from school. So now two of the 3 kids are sick, along with me feeling bad.

Oh well there is always next year.

FLU SEASON IS HERE!!

And we got our shots! Last year we waited till November- and I think we got every "flu" {lol} that went around!!

This year I was on it, we went to the take care clinic- because REALLY who has time to go to the DR any more. So besides dealing with a REALLY moody doctor we were in and out.

To be honest I was shocked how each child responded. Ethan decided to be tough and go first, he sat in the chair, and the second the dr went near him he panicked. Though luckily he gave in quickly and let her give the shot. Then he goes- that didnt hurt.

Jayde went next she sat, all tiny in the chair and had the shot- she squeeked loudly and then said.... where is it? LOL!!

Chandler was last- he FREAKED.... even cried. Poor dude is terrified of shots.

To me I was shocked how each child responded so incredibly different.

Here's hoping that this flu season will go much smoother than the last...

I heard about this article in The New York Post on the radio, while driving... I quickly found myself yelling at the radio.

The New York Post says its ok to drink while pregnant.

“The truth is, if you look at who’s born with fetal alcohol syndrome, their mothers were alcoholics — not one drink a week” women, says Dr. Randi Hutter Epstein.

So basically she's saying go ahead and smoke crack- just do it at moderation. You know once a week, so your innocent baby wont come out hooked to crack.

I truly hope that no mother out there is stupid enough to drive while pregnant reguardless what this "doctor/mother" says. Clearly she is incredibly ignorant to what alcohol can do to damage your little ones fragile body.

School 2010-2011

Last Tuesday was the first day of school for this year. It was off to a VERY rocky start. Beginning with 2 1/2 hour late buses and a bus that didnt even show up. Down to kids not being in the right school.... Not having time to eat. I could go on.

BUT.

I wont. All that is fixed now- all 3 kids are happy and in one school and the buses are fixed. I couldnt be happier. So heres to an awesome school year!

I hope everyone elses children have a great start to the school year.

The Dancing Grasshopper Giveaway!

The Dancing Grasshopper allowed me to try one of their soy candles and and their amazing olive oil lip balm. I have only tried soy candled that were store bought and left me feeling less than pleased. So I didnt know if I was going to like the hand made soy candles.
I was surprised! It burnt very evenly and with a strong {but not too strong} smooth scent. It filled my bedroom with a wonder smell! I was even more happy to find out that that when I blew out the candle that the room didnt stink of the wick.

Over all- I give this TWO thumbs WAY up! I loved the candle. It was very nice looking smelling, looking and working!
Also I was able to try The Dancing Grasshopper 's Olive oil lip balm. Now Im sure you all know that I LOVE lip balm- of any kind. With that being said Im also VERY picky about my lip balm.

I really enjoyed the texture of the lip balm, smooth, not sticky. I liked that ALOT. Many times you get that sticky thick feeling from some lip balms, But not this one. I swear it even felt like it moisturized my lips as well {this I didnt read anything about moisturizing but I swear it feels like it}

7 years ago today, my beautiful Jayde was born.

My youngest child, and my only girl. My princess. It seems like it was just yesterday.

Now shes all independent and can go everything on her own.

But shell always be my little princess- even when shes all grown.

Starting Tuesday my life has been crazy hectic!

I would blog about it- and I will eventually, but I am mentally and physically exhausted.

Im hoping tomorrow- when be smoother. Im not the most active person on earth so all of this has really worn me down.

I hope everyones having a better week.

Cant wait to write about all this mess and post some pictures!

This year we enjoyed our very first summer break in Louisville, it flew by. We had so much fun, and it was completely different than any summer before. We ad alot of first. For example, our first summer without the beach and our family {my amazing inlaws did come visit}. Also we had alot of FUN firsts though too.. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking/living them.

Our first summer visit to riverfront water park. It was alot of fun!

We met the Louisville Mommies for the first time at the ice cream social!

We {John} started the insane Apple collection.

We went to the kids first baseball game. Poor Ethan sat near the dug out forever waiting for an autograph, sadly he never got one. Maybe next year.

They visited museums.

Of course we enjoyed parks- ALOT.

We checked out almost all the parks in the area and found alot of faves!

Were sad to see summer break go- but that means its almost time for fall, and school and another season of fun.

Happy National Yard Sale Day!

Today is National Yard Sale Day! I couldnt be happier! That means that Im going to get off my butt and go to the flea market and get rid of the massive {and I mean MASSIVE} amount of bins in my living room.

I pulled all this crap {mostly clothes} out of my closet and got it ready to sell because the apartments were having a community yard sale. Naturally it got cancelled, so here we are stuck with these huge bins full of clothes taking up a good 4th of my living room.

So today I will be sitting out in the heat at the flea market with all 3 kids..... Boy hope I can sell atleast SOME of this crap.

I made my kids blogs a while back- mainly just to play around with. Then I got to thinking... Why dont I make them use it. I make them read {well not MAKE- but you know what I mean}

Why not make them write! Have their own personal spot to let their emotions and what not heard. Makes perfect sense. My oldest is 9 and hes been using it a bit, Im trying to encourage the other 2 children to do so as well.

I really think it will improve their computer skills as well as their spelling and such. My youngest is 6, she basically just likes it for the hamster widget {LOL} but Im sure once she is more confident about writing shell write her butt off!

Do your kids blog? What are your opinions on this?

first I *should* be loosing weight, of course watching what I eat for multiple reasons. Like being borderline diabetic, being over weight, and many more.

But Im not. I have to admit Im quite irresponsible when it comes to eating- No matter how much I try and have these great plans of how Im going to loose weight, get healthy and look great. I never follow through.

I have a serious weakness for food. Every since I quit smoking almost 4 years ago {or is it 5 years ago} I have had a huge thing for food- of any kind, but especially milk and cookies. Of course tonight was no different- I ate about 15 + cookies and a massive glass of milk.

I feel like I could explode- literally. I really want to get my fat ass motivated to LOSE IT!

Any advice? Please tell me Im not the only one.

Now- Im going to pass out ... way too many cookies!

I had the pleasure of reviewing 3 beautiful bracelets from Energy Shop. I have never worn a bracelet made of gem stones. I honestly was worried that it would be kinda plain. I was SHOCKED when I received the bracelets- The stones were each unique and full of amazing color! Some had little lines- making each stone different!
When I opened the package my kids were "Oooooing" and "Ahhhhing". They were so pretty.

I really dont think the photos do these stone any kind of justice! Its something you really have to see yourself.

The cool thing is that each piece comes with letter of attributes and instructions on how to make the most of your piece. Reading that was incredibly cool! When I put on the bracelets, they fit incredibly well. Nice and snug- but not tight! Perfect for me to wear to work as well as play since they arent loose and wont fall off!

I love that with the style of the bracelets can be worn to dress up and outfit or just in every day wear. Which is huge for me, because I like to be able to wear my favorite jewelry all the time. Ive worn mine every day since receiving them! I highly highly recommend Energy Shop . Very well made, and I positive you will get compliments on the pieces!

I had my first day at work today- I thought the house would be a hot mess like I left it.

WRONG!

My wonderful, amazing, handsome husband cleaned it! But not like half-assed, completely cleaned it!! How awesome is that?!

Not only did he clean the house but he had FIVE kids, and they were ALL dressed and ready to go to the pool when I got home. I didnt have to do anything when I came home.

So I just wanted to take a moment and brag on him!! Im so lucky! =]

Painfully horribly bad.

Wondering what Im talking about? Its got to be something really bad right?

RIGHT! Shoe shopping. No Im not talking about the cute black heel type shopping, Im talking about three kids under 10 back to school shopping on a budget.

Budget $40 per kid- getting name brand, Nikes Reebok's adidas type shoes. Getting something they like and I like {most importantly that I like} Easy right? WRONG. First- getting shoes for under $40 is a task in its own, then to try and get something that we can both agree on.

At some point I was terribly wrong. First, my kids are in "big kid" sizes now and all the shoes are like $50+ that in itself is CRAZY! So here is me and my incredibly patient hubs looking through all the shoes trying to find ones we can afford. UGH.

All the while the kids are pulling us in EVERY direction possible, showing us shoes that are SO out of our price range.

By the time it was all said and done Ethan found a cute pair of Jordans for $29 {right on}, Chandler didn't get any because he cant make up his mind and every pair poor Jayde picked out that we could afford they didnt have in her size!

Quick note to shoe makers.... Why must shoes be so expensive? Its absolutely painful to try and buy shoes for our kids!!! Please lower your prices!

Heres to another day of shoe shopping hell.

Ok- first, Im from Florida so I know hot. Today however I was able to experience true HOT.

It was 101 out, with a heat index of 115. I had this brilliant idea to take all 4 kids to the park.

We lasted literally less than 5 minutes, after that we were DONE!

I think we will be hiding indoors for the next few day.

How is everyone else surviving this insane heat?

This morning, I had the crap scared out of me... almost literally.

As I walked into the kitchen to make my hubs lunch for work, something to my left caught my eye. The back door- it was WIDE OPEN. Naturally I run and grab the hubs, he comes running trying to hold his pants up. Promptly shut and locked the door.

So many thoughts ran through my head- are my boys still here? Did someone take them? {I knew Jayde was ok because she ended up in bed with me} I ran to their room and they were snuggled up together. WHEW- theyre ok. The whole time I was thinking of all the news cases where children were taken from their beds in their sleep.

I know it was only a matter of seconds for me to go from the living room to their bedrooms, but it felt like forever. Luckily the kids and animals were all safe inside.

Our conclusion- Jayde sleep walks and has horrible night terrors, she must have opened the door, thinking that it was my room. The scary part is that our doors open right up to a busy busy road and then onto a train track.

I must have forgot to lock the door when I came in yesterday- making it easier for her to open it. I cant help thinking what if. I have to say I have NEVER been so scared in my entire life.

Lesson learned- check the doors, and then RE-check the doors, and RE- RE check the doors.

Im so glad everyone is ok.

From the moment saw The Dirty Housewife Soap Co.'s Etsy shop- I knew I just had to try their soaps! I knew that they were not only pretty {which for me it matters} but had to smell equally as pretty!
The Dirty Housewife Soap Co. sent me some of their AMAZING soap to try... The second I opened the package I smelled a clean smelling scent... I was SO excited! One of the scents I tried was Surfer boy and I love it.. it smelled very very fresh. Even better it cleaned very nicely.. but not nice most handmade soaps that leave you you almost squeaky feeling, I felt clean. I truely have to say that The Dirty Housewife Soap Co. is one of my favorites.

The best part is that they don't just sell a large variety of soaps {mastering that alone is quite impressive}. They sell Artisan Perfume Oil, Lip Candy, Linen Sprays, Candles and Oils! Personally I cannot wait to try the Lip Candy as I love Lip Balm!

Bedtime where are you?

Dear Mr Bedtime Routine;

I know we used to be great friends, dare I say best? Towards the beginning of June you slowly disappeared, with no warning. Ill take some blame for this- I should have told you how much you mean to me. Had I known that you would leave..... things would have been different!

Now I ask, please help. I dont want to hear "I need a drink" "I need to go potty" or "why is so and so still awake". They used to go to bed almost like angels {almost}. I dont want anymore 10-11 pm bedtimes. I want you back Mr. Bedtime Routine.

Please accept this apology, and help me get my three kids asleep at a some what reasonable time. Preferably before school starts back.
